Andrew Dakich, 6’1 PG Zionsville (2013), is your classic “pure point guard.” He looks to pass first and take care of the basketball. Dakich had an impressive 2.25 to 1 assist to turnover ratio this season. His best attribute is likely his leadership. Dakich is truly a coach on the floor as he is always directing traffic.
A few MAC and Missouri Valley programs, along with some of the service academies have shown interest but nothing too aggressive at this point according to Dakich. “I’m just working my butt off to make those strong interests,” Dakich commented.
Dakich will play for Indiana Elite-South again this summer, which is coached by his father Dan Dakich. Mark Donnal (Michigan) and Troy Spears (New Mexico) are the only committed players on their roster at this moment. Other notable un-committed prospects on the team include Franko House (Concord), Alex Etherington (Hamilton Heights), and Blake Simmons (Castle). They are a great group for mid-majors to check out in the April evaluation period.
