Center Grove and Indy Heat power forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was perfect (10-10) from the field as the U18 USA team dominated Ecuador Thursday night, 132-55.
The quarterfinal match-up was never close as the USA led 32-13 after the first period and 65-25 at the half. Trayce Jackson- Davis impacted the game defensively and with a couple of assists before he was able to get two dunks late in the first quarter. Jackson-Davis dominated around the rim on his way to 20 points and 11 rebounds. He also finished with four assists.
Through four games of the FIBA Americas Championship, the USA has won by an average of 61 points. The semifinals will see the USA play Argentina. Canada was able to beat Argentina by 17 points in pool play. The USA-Canada match-up has been anticipated for the final since the beginning of the tournament.
Jackson-Davis played 31 total minutes in the first three games before playing 22 in the blow out win over Ecuador.
