Hamilton Southeastern guard Noah Smith committed to Indiana Wesleyan Friday. His HSE team played at IWU in the Super Hoops team camp today. Jared Hankins received his first offer, and Purdue extended an offer to 2021 Max Christie.
Indiana Wesleyan has been recruiting Noah Smith for the last year. They offered him early in 2018. Smith is a hard-nosed guard that excels as a defender and rebounder from his guard spot. He's also a slasher that uses his strength to finish around the basket. IWU has built its NAIA dynasty off recruiting borderline D1 players and Smith fits that mold.
Miami of Ohio offered 2019 shooting guard Jared Hankins. It's the first offer for Hankins, but it shouldn't be the last. Hankins is a top shooter with good size, strength, and athleticism for the mid-major level. Miami has done a great job of recruiting Indiana prospects early under Jack Owens. The Miami roster is littered with Indiana natives and being the first to offer Hankins has to bode well for them.
Purdue extended an offered to 2021 guard Max Christie Friday. Christie is a big-time player from Illinois. He's a 6-foot-4 guard that understands how to move without the ball, create off the dribble, and knock down outside shots at a high rate. Purdue joins Northwestern, Illinois, and Loyola of Chicago as teams that have offered Christie.
