2019 Culver Academies and Indy Heat guard Ethan Brittain-Watts verbally committed to Boston University while on an official visit to the school Saturday.
Brittain-Watts saw the Boston University campus this weekend while on an official visit to the Patriot League school. The Terriers extended an offer to Brittain-Watts back in May, and Boston recruited Brittain-Watts hard throughout the summer.
Brittain-Watts had scholarship offers from Miami of Ohio, Toledo, IUPUI, and Ball State. Big Ten schools kept tabs on the 2019 guard as well but never offered. In March, Brittain-Watts reported that Wisconsin and Purdue were watching his development.
Boston went 15-16 last season but returns many key players and adds a strong 2018 recruiting class. This season's Boston roster sports 10 freshmen or sophomores with sophomore Walter Whyte and freshman Jack Hemphill leading the way. They could be all-conference players by the time Brittain-Watts arrives.
Brittain-Watts will be able to find time at either guard position at Boston. He's a capable ball-handler and distributor. He has the tools to develop into a strong defender and outside shooter in the Patriot League. If he does those things well, Ethan Brittain-Watts will make a major impact at Boston.
