Ben Davis shooting guard Jalen Windham committed to Creighton after his official visit to the Big East school. He was originally signed with Georgia State.
Windham is one of the best shooters in a state known for its shooting. He displayed that with the Indy Heat on the Nike EYBL last summer then followed it up with a state title game run with Ben Davis. His shooting will translate to Creighton as he is one of the best high school players coming off screens. He isn't just a standstill shooter like most high school shooters. After playing at Ben Davis and in the EYBL, Windham will know what he needs to do to compete against top-level players.
Last summer and fall, many mid-major schools offered Windham. High-majors were only showing interest when he committed to former IUPUI coach Ron Hunter and Georiga State. Once Hunter took the head job at Tulane, Windham decided to open his recruitment. That's when Creighton, Indiana, and Illinois State jumped into the mix. Indiana never offered.
Windham joins point guard Shareef Mitchell in Creighton's 2019 recruiting class.
