2020 Lawrence Central and Indy Heat point guard Nijel Pack has committed to Kansas State.
After a head-turning spring, Nijel Pack picked up offers from Butler, Belmont, Kansas State, and others. He took official visits to Rice, Belmont, and Kansas State before committing to Kansas State. He made the commitment to Brue Weber and the Wildcats as he was leaving his official visit.
Pack excels as a slasher. He has proven that he can get to the paint against any defender in the country. He has one of the best floater games in the nation as he is highly accurate and rarely gets it blocked even with seven-footers in the lane. He's also a steady ball-handler, excellent defender, and solid outside shooter. He averaged 18 points per game in 13 games in the Nike EYBL this spring. He only shot 27% from three-point range, but Pack converted 95% of his free throws. Free throw percentage is a good predictor of future shooting.
If Pack had waited, he likely would have seen more high-major programs enter the picture. He rewarded the teams that offered him early with official visits before making a decision.
Pack joins Jaden Ivey, D'Andre Davis, and Mike Saunders as 2020 Indiana players to make a college decision.
