2020 Culver Academies and Indiana Elite shooting guard Trey Galloway committed to Indiana University via Twitter on Friday.
Galloway racked up high-major offers from the likes of Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Butler, Cincinnati, and Ohio State. His recruitment changed once Indiana extended an offer in the spring. Since then, many have anticipated Galloway committing to Indiana. The noise picked up after Galloway's unofficial visit to Bloomington in June.
Last week, Galloway wrapped up a successful travel season with Indiana Elite. He turned heads throughout the spring and summer with his slashing and finishing ability. He's one of the top competitiors in the state, and that led to consistent production on the travel circuit. Galloway averaged 16 points per game in adidas Gaunlet play. He shot 61% from the field behind his aggressiveness getting to the basket. In addition to his scoring, Galloway averaged four rebounds per game.
Galloway joins Jaden Ivey (Purdue), Nijel Pack (Kansas State), Noah Jager (Army), and Tayson Parker (Indiana Wesleyan) as committed players in Indiana's 2020 class. Along with those players, Anthony Leal announced his top two of Stanford and Indiana this week.
Galloway is Indiana's first commitment in the 2020 class.
