Crispus Attucks and EG10 guard Sincere McMahon committed to Western Illinois Friday, per Attucks coach Chris Hawkins.
Despite the shortened July evaluation period, McMahon picked up D1 offers from Western Illinois and Western Carolina. He decided to commit to Western Illinois after a strong July with EG10. On the adidas circuit, McMahon shot 48.7% from three-point range on 76 attempts. He scored 17 points per game at the adidas Finale.
There are few players that can get as hot as McMahon from deep. He averaged 16.6 points per game as a junior at Attucks. His production led to a selection on the Indiana Junior All-Star team.
He will take an official visit to Western Illinois in August.
In Macomb, McMahon will join his brother, Anthony Jones, on the basketball team. Jones started his career at IUPUI before transferring to Coffeyville CC. Jones will be a junior this season for Western Illinois.
Prior to his commitment, McMahon was hearing from the likes of UMass-Lowell, IUPUI, Marian, and Anderson.
