Adaway was the seventh ranked prospect in Indiana Basketball Source's 2017 rankings. He played in the Indiana All-Star series as well after scoring 1,444 points in four years at Logansport. He averaged 15.7 points and eight rebounds as a senior.

At Miami, Adaway started 29 games as a freshman. He averaged 8.5 points and five rebounds per game in his rookie college season. Last year as a sophomore, he started 17 games and averaged 7.5 points per game. 

The Bonnies went 18-16 last season after going 26-8 in 2017-2018. St. Bonaventure is a team loaded with sophomores and juniors. If all the key players stay, they should have an excellent team in Adaway's redshirt junior season. He will sit out this season due to transfer rules.
