The high-academic prospect selected West Point over Air Force and Indianapolis. All three have excellent academic reputations, but he decided Army was the right fit.
Peterson is an inside-outside forward from Indianapolis. For North Central, he is counted on to rebound and be a paint presence. At six-foot-eight, he is the biggest player on the North Central roster. But he has shown the ability to knock down threes. Peterson had a couple of big games for IE-North this travel season from beyond the arc. That will be a major asset at the next level.
With guards like Leland Walker and Jalen Clark, Peterson should get plenty of open shots this year. He'll need to be a force on the glass as well. If he makes open shots and rebounds, Peterson will help North Central turn things around after going 7-17 last year.
