The 2020 point guard has been making an impact for the Red Devils since his freshman year, but he didn’t receive much recruiting attention until this summer. He received offers from IU-Southeast then Green Bay behind his performance at the Charlie Hughes Shootout.
Jones is a quick guard that creates plays for himself and teammates alike. He’s a bit undersized, but his quickness helps offset that. The big key for his college production will be his shooting. Outside shooting has been a weakness of his game in high school. He hit shots and looked good doing it in June. If that continues, Jones will succeed at Green Bay.
Green Bay and Linc Darner like to push the tempo. That is something that Jones does well. He will fit into the Green Bay style very well.
Jones and Jeffersonville are poised for a big season. They will be one of the top 4A teams behind Jones, Tre Coleman, Will Lovings-Watts, and Darrin Starks. They have a bit of adversity heading into the year as head coach Joe Luce resigned recently. Jeffersonville has the talent for a deep run in 4A no matter who is coaching.
