2020 Lawrence Central guard D'Andre Davis committed to Louisville immediately following his official visit.
After de-committing from Nebraska, Louisville became the favorite for Davis. He had seen Louisville first hand while his brother D'Ante Davis visited the school.
Davis put up huge numbers for Indy Heat during EYBL play. He also produced at a high level during the Peach Jam. Those things raised his national profile, but he has always been that player.
Davis committed to Nebraska while Tim Miles and Michael Lewis were there. He remained committed once Fred Hoiberg took over but had second thoughts in recent weeks.
This summer, Davis proved that he can be scorer and rebounder against top-level competition. He's a streaky shooter but lights it up when he gets going. His rebounding as a wing is excellent.
Louisville likely was attracted to Davis behind his length and scoring ability. Chris Mack had a few similar players at Xavier that had success. He is hoping for the same success with Davis.
