One of the break out players so far this spring has been Bryant McIntosh of Greensburg High School. The 6-3, combo guard has been extremely productive and impressive for a loaded Eric Gordon All-Stars team. Here is what Bryant had to say about his recruitment and his game.
What colleges are you hearing from so far?
BM: I’ve heard from Xavier, Indiana State, Valpo, Michigan, Purdue, Indiana, Miami (OH), Loyola, and Ball State. I’ve heard from all of those recently.
Have you made any visits?
BM: Yeah, I’ve visited Ball State. I went to a game there earlier this year. I’ve also gone to Michigan for an elite camp and a football game and basketball game.
Have you talked to any colleges about elite camp yet?
BM: Yeah, Michigan would like me to come up and I think, I will make that trip again.
What are your strengths in your eyes?
BM: My strengths are my jump shot...that is probably the thing that most people like. My decision making and ball-handling; I’m really showing people that I can handle the ball and make good decisions. Most schools are talking about me running the point some for them.
What are your individual work-outs like?
BM: Yeah, I go through an individual work-out every day plus I lift like 3 or 4 times a week. I do shooting and ball-handling plus I work on coming off ball-screens, coming off down screens, flare screens.
It seems like you have grown a decent amount over the last year, do you think you will grow even more?
BM: I hope so, I’m not sure though.
Have you started to think about college yet?
BM: A little bit, I’ve talked to my dad about it a little bit but I haven’t thought about it too much yet. I’m just taking the process really slow.
Did you have a favorite college basketball team growing up?
BM: Yeah, I really liked watching Duke play. I was a big J.J. Redick fan and always liked watching his game.
