Indiana Basketball Source watched (video and live) 10 Lake Central games this season, and walked away thinking Nick Anderson is the best shooter in the state. Most of the top high school shooters are either great spotting-up or creating rhythm off the dribble. Anderson is excellent in both of those areas, but he also constantly had to come off screens to get open. That separated Anderson from the pack. Here's a look at his skill set.
The video is comprised of games against Gary West Side and McCutcheon. I missed many of his made shots in these games, but still wanted to show how he gets shots and what he did for Lake Central this season.
Anderson averaged 24 points per game for Lake Central, and carried them to the sectional championship game before losing 48-45 to Merrillville. Anderson had 25 points in that loss. He was face-guarded all season and still posted an incredible season.
