In recent days, Indiana universities have received commitments. Here’s a look at those commitments.
Oldenburg Academy guard Jacob Johnson committed to Bethel. He shot 40.8 percent from three-point range on his way to 20.3 points per game as a senior. His Oldenburg Academy team won the Southwestern sectional. The final saw the Twisters beat Morristown. Johnson finished with 1,118 career points.
Bobby Planutis is transferring to Purdue-Fort Wayne from St. Bonaventure. He’s a grad transfer with two years to play. Planutis is a three-point shooting forward, but he struggled from three last year. He only shot 24.6 percent from deep for the Bonnies. He appears to be a decent defender although he’s not a shot blocker. As a freshman at Mount St. Mary’s, Planutis shot 49.3 percent on 67 three-point attempts. If he returns to that form, he will be a solid addition for Purdue-Fort Wayne.
Ndongo Ndaw committed to Indiana State from Butler CC. Ndaw was an excellent defensive rebounder and shot blocker at Butler. For D1 junior college, he was in the 93rd percentile in both categories. He wasn’t an offensive threat but finished at the rim and reached the free throw line often. It looks like he will be a defensive specialist for Greg Lansing and the Sycamores with any scoring in the lane being an unexpected positive.
Here's a deep dive into Ndaw's junior college stats.
Bobby Harvey made a pledge to IUPUI. The Jaguars still have interim coach Byron Rimm in place after suspending their coaching search. It’s unclear when the coaching search will resume. Harvey is a guard from Wabash Valley. He was primarily a shooter for Wabash Valley. He made 36 percent of his three-point attempts.

Outside of the state, New Albany graduate Sean East is transferring from UMass to Bradley. After a post-graduate season, East spent last year with the Minutemen. In his rookie campaign, East averaged 9.3 points and 4.9 assists per game. He nearly had a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio as a freshman.
