There are more Indiana natives transferring colleges. Here’s an update on the recent activity. (Pictured: Dan McKeeman)
DeAvion Washington is leaving Indiana State. Washington is a former Indiana All-Star from Terre Haute South. After playing 14.6 minutes a game as a freshman, Washington found himself outside of the Sycamore rotation this season. In limited minutes, his tempo-free rebounding numbers were in the range that was expected coming out of high school. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Sean East committed to Bradley. The former New Albany Bulldog spent his freshman season at UMass. East posted 9.3 points and 4.9 assists per game. As a freshman, he nearly had a two to one assist to turnover ratio. As he heads to the Missouri Valley, his numbers should improve.
Dan McKeeman is coming back to Fort Wayne. After spending his freshman year at D2 Cedarville, McKeeman announced his transfer to St. Francis. McKeeman played in 29 games for the Yellow Jackets. He averaged 2.7 points per game. McKeeman played at Carroll High School.
Brandon Johnson transferred to Bowman Academy to finish the second half of his senior year. He made an instant impact for the Eagles. Now, Johnson is leaving Western Michigan after averaging 15.4 points and 8.1 rebounds as a redshirt junior. With those numbers, he’s attracting high-major interest.
