Yoder scored 683 points this season on his way to 2,163 career points. Yoder always found a way to score. He had a natural instinct for finding spots - transition, cuts, spot-up threes, offensive rebounds. Yoder was able to find points in all of those areas.
Over the summer, Yoder had offers from Jacksonville State and Mercer along with NAIA opportunities. In the end, Andrean and Purdue alum Carson Cunningham made a push for him. Yoder will join Penn graduate Drew Lutz at Incarnate Word. Lutz averaged 11.6 points and 3.5 assists per game as a freshman there.
This season, Yoder carried Westview to a 21-4 record. They were 1-2 to begin the year before Yoder put the team on his back. With Yoder leading the way, Indiana Basketball Source had Westview ranked as the fifth best 2A team entering sectional play. The Warriors lost to Churubusco, but Westview and Yoder had an outstanding season.
Yoder's post-graduate destination is still undecided.
Also, Rob Yoder stepped down as the Westview coach a few days ago after 17 years at the helm.
