Floyd Central's Grant Gohmann and North Posey Josiah Ricketts have made college choices. Mishawaka Marian's Jerry Bracey is headed to a post-graduate year at Elevation Prep.
On Tuesday, Gohmann committed to DePauw. The Highlander forward made major progress as a senior. He played second fiddle to Jake Heidbreder as Floyd Central won its first sectional title since 1989. He was looking for a high academic institution with the chance to play basketball. DePauw fills those qualifications.
North Posey's Josiah Ricketts is also going to the D3 level. He committed to Hanover College yesterday. Ricketts is a great shooter that averaged 24 points per game this season. He scored over 2,000 career points and made 284 threes over four years. With his shooting, he should made an impact for Hanover.
Elevation Prep made another splash with the commitment of Jerry Bracey. After the transfer of Jaden Ivey, the Mishawaka Marian guard had a great senior year. The slashing point guard led Marian to a 3A sectional title. Now, he will head to Elevation prep for a post-grad season.
Former Evansville Day star Noah Hupmann committed to Northern Kentucky. He spent his senior season at Covington Catholic in Lexington, Kentucky. The 7-1 center was progressing well on the offensive end before he moved out of state.
