The college basketball market has continued to stay busy with Indiana natives changing schools. Recently, Cameron Alford and De’Avion Washington decided on destinations, while Caleb Coleman announced his transfer. (Pictured: Caleb Coleman)
After a strong freshman year at Alabama A&M, Alford decided to transfer. He averaged 12.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a freshman. He is now headed to John A. Logan. It’s a junior college in Illinois that produced 2020 NBA Draft entrant Jay Scrubb. He will play there for a year before heading back to D1 school.

2018 Terre Haute South graduate De’Avion Washington announced that he will transfer from Indiana State to D2 Central State in Ohio. It’s a strong pickup for Central State as Washington will be a versatile player at that level. Central State was 17-13 this season.
At Indiana State, Washington played in 49 career games. He played 14.6 minutes per game as a freshman before falling out of the rotation this season. He was never able to carve out a role for the Sycamores.
2017 Hammond graduate Caleb Coleman is leaving Prairie View A&M. He spent two years at State Fair Community College before landing at the SWAC school. He only played in eight games for Prairie View but did start two.
Coleman is an athletic wing that thrives in the open court. At one point, he was committed to Green Bay and Linc Darner. That would have been an excellent system for Coleman.
