Former New Albany star Sean East has been granted immediate eligibility at Bradley University after transferring from UMass.
East transferred to Bradley after averaging 9.3 points and 4.9 assists per game as a freshman for the Minutemen. He started 20 of 31 games for UMass before making the move. As a sophomore, East will have a chance to be the main ball handler for the Braves. Last year, Bradley went 23-11 and won the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
After a stellar high school, East spent a post-graduate season at Combine Academy in North Carolina. He was able to pick up a few D1 offers during his time there. At New Albany, he won a state title with Romeo Langford in 2016. He averaged 18 points per game as a senior.
Recently, Bloomington South's Connor Hickman committed to Bradley. He will join East and the rest of the Braves in 2021.
