Thursday night, Archie Miller and Indiana extended a scholarship offer to 2022 guard CJ Gunn. The Lawrence North and Indy Heat prospect has elevated his game in the last year.

Gunn had a great showing at the Battle of the Brands a couple of weeks ago. His slashing ability was on full display as he scored over, around, and through high-level defenders. Indiana Basketball Source ranks Gunn as the number two in-state 2022 prospect behind Jalen Washington.

Gunn's first high-major offer came from Kansas State. The Wildcats are always actively recruiting Indiana. In the 2020 class, Brue Weber landed Lawrence Central's Nijel Pack. Indiana, Purdue, and Cincinnati have been in regular contact with Gunn for many months now. It was just a matter of time before more high-major schools offered Gunn.

PRIOR TO PLAYING VARSITY BASKETBALL, INDIANA BASKETBALL SOURCE WAS HIGH ON GUNN

Assuming there is high school basketball this year, Gunn will be one of Lawrence North's go-to players with the graduation of Tony Perkins. Gunn and senior point guard Shamar Avance will be leading Jack Keefer's squad. As always, the Wildcats will have plenty of firepower. If Gunn takes the next step in becoming a dominant player, Lawrence North will be one of the top teams in the state.
