2023 Ben Davis center Zane Doughty committed to Valparaiso University. The Indianapolis product made great strides for BD as a junior and it resulted in many scholarship offers.

Doughty uses his strength and high motor to produce on a regular basis. He is one of the best rebounders on the Nike EYBL circuit through his toughness and non-stop effort. Those attributes give Doughty a high floor at the next level. Valpo knows Doughty will compete defensively and on the glass. If his offensive game comes around, Doughty will have a tremendous career at Valpo.

Doughty also had offers from New Orleans, Miami of Ohio, and Siena.

His rebounding rates are off the charts, especially for his size and athleticism. On the EYBL circuit, he is playing against like-sized or bigger post players each game. Despite that, Doughty still posts strong numbers and efficiency.
