Markese McGuire verbally committed to the University of Illinois-Chicago this weekend. He had offers from Evansville, Gardner-Webb, Mercer, Northern Illinois and Wisconsin-Milwaukee as well.

McGuire is a 6-3 combo guard that can do a bit of everything on the court. He's a good athlete, but not outrageously explosive. He is a good outside shooter, but also has a tendency to force shots. Overall, he should do very well from UIC in the Horizon League.
