Cole Murray announced Tuesday that he has verbally committed to Northern Kentucky University. Murray took an official visit there a couple of weeks ago. "I just felt really comfortable down there," Murray commented about his decision. "I have an opportunity to establish them at the D1 level and could have an impact right away," he said about why he picked NKU.
The 6-7, shooter also had scholarship offers from American, Appalachian State, Northeastern, Eastern Kentucky, Kennesaw State, Gardner-Webb, Lafayette, and Boston. Murray saw his recruitment in July skyrocket. He entered July with just an offer from American on the table and left the month with all the rest.
Murray is one of the best pure shooters in the state of Indiana. He has a quick release and his 6'7" frame make him a dangerous weapon on the offensive end. This summer, his offensive game expanded and he was more aggressive off the dribble. That made him much more desirable for college programs. He should fit into NKU's system very well.
