Indianapolis Tech vs. Lawrence Central Notes
-Tech jumped out to an early lead. Trey Lyles was outstanding on both ends. He had a huge block on Jeremy Hollowell at the rim and he also had a spin move out of the post that he finished with a dunk.
-Lawrence Central got back into the game because of their zone defense. Tech started settling for outside shots consistently while also turning the ball over frequently.
-It looked like Lawrence Central might pull away in the fourth quarter as they took a 47-38 lead to the fourth.
-Tech didn’t go away though. Hollowell picked up his 4th foul with 3:41 left in the game and it was a back and forth game the rest of the way.
-Lawrence Central was up 2 when Tyler Corley turned it over and Tech got a lay-up to tie the game with 22 seconds.
-Tyler Fischl took a shot that got blocked with around 8 seconds left. Trey Lyles jumped on the loose ball and was tied up. The possession arrow favored Lawrence Central.
-Lawrence Central in-bounded the ball to Jeremy Hollowell with 5.3 seconds left. He sliced to the basket and scored over contact from Lyles as time expired.
-Lawrence Central advanced to play Warren Central in the second round of the sectional.
-Indianapolis Tech finished the season 16-5 with their main core of players all underclassmen.

Player Evaluations for Indianapolis Tech
Trey Lyles 6’9” PF 2014 When Lyles is aggressive and focused, there is no player in the 2014 class in Indiana that is even close to him. (Yes, I know about Jaquan Lyle.) He is skilled, inside and outside. Lyles is athletic enough. He isn’t a freak athlete but he has quickness and some explosion to his moves. At times, he can want to do too much on the perimeter and show off his outside game too much. That is the only downside that I see with him right now and that is easily fixed. Committed to Indiana
Michael Jones 6’4” SG 2014 Jones had a disappointing season in my eyes. It is possible that he isn’t comfortable with the new system, but it seemed like he was very hesitant all season. He is a good athlete and is skilled. His shooting mechanics are a work in-progress but are much better than they were a season ago. Hopefully, he has a good summer and confirms our thoughts that he has mid-major potential.
Jeremie Tyler 6’2” SG 2014 Tyler was a little brighter spot for Tech than Jones, but I thought he would be a better option for Tech as well. He is one of the state’s best outside shooter in the class. He definitely needs to show that he can score off the dribble. Most of his production is catch and shoot. He is a good athlete and shows flashes of the ability to score off the dribble at will. Tyler is another player that has mid-major potential but needs improvement to get there.
Robert Evans 6’2” SF 2012 Evans is a scraper/garbage man that does all the dirty work. Undersized at 6’2” but has battled every time I have seen him. He is a player that every NAIA program can use.
Jerome Campbell 6’0” PG 2012 Campbell is a pure point guard that looks to pass first and will always play defense. He can also knock down the open outside shot. He could be great at many D2/NAIA programs.
Leo Williams 6’0” PG 2013 I’ve seen Williams play many times, but I still don’t have a very good feel for his game…strengths and weaknesses. It is easiest to say he does most things well, but nothing exceptionally. Definitely a player for D2/NAIA programs to watch next year.
Josh Whitfield 5’11” PG 2014 Point guard that played spot minutes this year. He is a very good outside shooter. His game will need to expand to be a college-level player. {/iACL}
