Michael Morris is looking into walk-on options, while Kenny Jones is exploring junior college options for more D1 exposure.
Michael Morris, 6’6” F New Palestine 2013, is exploring options to walk-on at Indiana State, Ball State or Wright State. He said that he is open to small colleges, but would rather play at the D1 level even if it means walking on to a program. Morris is averaging 19.5 points per game and shooting 47% from 3 through 15 games this year.
Morris is a strong stretch 4. He’s more comfortable on the perimeter on the offensive end, but is adequate in the post area. He would be great as a power forward at the D2 or NAIA level with his shooting ability. Defensively, he struggles guarding on the perimeter against good athletes. In the defensive post he is good because of his physical strength. Morris sports a 3.8 GPA, which makes him very attractive as a walk-on.
Kenny Jones, 6’6” F South Bend Clay 2013, received an offer from Illinois Central (juco) over the weekend. He said that 6 or 7 jucos are recruiting him right now. He will qualify though. Jones just wants to go D1 and will go juco for more exposure. He’s averaging 14 points per game this season. Jones is an athletic combo-forward.
