Indiana Basketball Source observed 17U-15U action at the 2021 Adidas May Classic. Indiana Elite 2022, Grand Park Premier-Red 2023, and Indiana Elite 2024 took home the main titles for the separate age groups. Here is a look at the headlines from the event.

 

Indiana Elite 2022 had a hard-fought win over Indiana Elite-Team Indian in the 17U final. Zeke Montgomery (Fern Creek 2021) led IE with 20 points in the championship game. The big guard displayed his ability to score in transition, off the dribble, posting up, and from the outside. He has the tools to be an excellent D1 player. Connor Essegian (Central Noble 2022) consistently produced for IE all event. He is one of the best shooters in the state, but Essegian also scored in transition and hit the offensive glass to get a few extra opportunities. Jayden Brewer (Ben Davis 2021) is an elite athlete, and he displayed it all weekend. When he gets a full head of steam, Brewer usually ends up with his head at rim level. Rocco Muratori and Mason Nicholson provided an inside presence that opponents could not handle.
