On Monday, Indiana extended an early offer to 2023 Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn. The McCutcheon point guard had a great freshman year before dominating the 15U club division this summer. Gibbs-Lawhorn received an offer from Purdue a few weeks ago.
Gibbs-Lawhorn is Indiana Basketball Source’s top-ranked 2023 prospect. At an early age, he combines skill, athleticism, and competitiveness. Each of those aspects are projected to keep him at the head of the state’s class. His overall is value is also higher than others since he will have the ball in his hands as a primary ball-handler.
2022 wing RaSheed Jones had a strong sophomore year for Marion and continued to play well for Team Teague this summer. The lanky guard has scholarship offers from New Orleans and Winthrop with a handful of other D1 schools contacting him on a regular basis.
As a sophomore, Jones averaged 15.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. He played with ultra-scoring threats Jalen Blackmon and JK Thomas. Blackmon tore his ACL after playing eight games. Thomas and Jones proved to be an excellent one-two punch. For the season, Jones was 73-173 (42 percent) from three-point distance. Over the summer, he had similar success with Team Teague. If he has breathing room, Jones is going to knock down the outside shot.
2021 North Harrison and Indiana Elite-Team Indiana power forward LT Hatton committed to William & Mary. Hatton was heavily recruited with over a dozen D1 offers. He even had interest from Power 5 teams but decided on William & Mary.
This morning, 2021 power forward Blake Sisley committed to the University of Evansville. The Heritage Hills High School and Indy Heat prospect had a dozen D1 offers before picking the Purple Aces.
