Northridge's Alex Stauffer is one of the most skilled post players in the state. Indiana Basketball Source caught up with the 2020 after his visit to Wabash College.
Wabash is putting in major work with Stauffer. He recently took a visit to the D3 program.
"I have a pretty good relationship with them," Stauffer told Indiana Basketball Source. "I definitely liked the visit! I've taken a lot of visits and have a lot of options, fortunately."
Stauffer had a great junior year for Northridge as he helped them reach the 4A Regional championship against Penn. He had a clutch three-pointer before Drew Lutz won the game for Penn.
The six-foot-five forward has scholarship offers from Goshen, Huntington, Grace, IU-South Bend, and Saginaw Valley State. He has D3 sports from Wabash, Trine, Hope, and Kalamazoo along with interest from Northern Michigan and Ashbury.
Stauffer has a few college visits lined up. He is set to see Asbury next week then Northern Michigan on October 18. He is also planning visits to Mt. Vernon Nazarene and Roosevelt University in the near future.
While he is sorting out a bunch of options, Stauffer is still planning to make a decision before the high school season begins.
At this point, Stauffer lists his favorite schools as Huntington, Asbury, Northern Michigan, Grace, and Hope.
Stauffer is a mix of old school and new school. He's crafty and skilled on the block. He has all the angles that is expected for a men's league player. He's also a stellar outside shooter. He is a capable pick and pop option from the three-point line. He is poised to be a great small college player.
