In a big school against small school matchup, Warren Central took on Liberty Christian. Warren Central entered the game at 4-3 but winners of three straight games. Liberty Christian was relatively untested before the Warren Central game. LC's closest game was 15 points in its first seven contests.

Warren Central used its size and quickness to make Liberty Christian early in the game. The Warriors jumped out to a 9-2 lead just a few minutes into the game. The play of senior forward Greg Dixon steady the ship for Liberty Christian. He scored six points in the opening quarter with his aggressive play.

Liberty Christian was in the bonus for the entire second quarter. That helped its cause greatly. LC made 11 of 14 free throws in the first half. Junior guard Ronny Williams created much of the offense for Liberty Christian. He scored 14 points in the opening half to keep his team in the game.

Warren Central led 36-32 at half time. Senior guard Bishop Smith hit two first quarter shots, but he didn't play in the second quarter after he picked up his second foul.

After a quiet first half, senior wing Franklin Nunn scored 12 points in the second half. He was able to use his athleticism in the half court a lot more in the second half.

Liberty Christian was in striking distance throughout the fourth quarter. They weren't able to get over the hump though. Mack Smith, Trequan Spivey and Jarmarr Kennebrew made enough plays to lead Warren Central to the victory.
