Indiana Basketball Source continues its preseason all-state team selections. Earlier this week, the Class A teams were unveiled. Now, the 2A preseason all-state teams are detailed. Over the three teams, there are four D1 basketball signees, a couple of other players with D1 offers, and one player committed to play D1 baseball.

The 2A first team is led by Purdue signee Caleb Furst. The 2021 frontliner had Blackhawk Christian poised to win its second consecutive state title last year before the tournament's cancellation. Behind Furst, they are the heavy favorites again this season. As a junior, Furst was dominant. He averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds a game while shooting 68 percent from the field. Blackhawk played a 4A-type schedule and Furst was able to do whatever he wanted. Throughout high school, Furst has expanded his game away from the basket inch by inch. It will see how much he will be on the perimeter this year compared to dominating around the paint.
