In a small school battle, Tindley made the short trip to Heritage Christian. The game showcased talented sophomores with HC’s Myles Colvin and Tindley featuring Jayden Pinkston, Billy Brown, and more.

The game started with an insane offensive production from Tindley. The Tigers scored on seven of their first eight possessions of the game. Darion Davis and Aaron Humphrey were scoring inside and out. Behind that duo, Tindley jumped out to an 18-6 lead.

Down 28-13 in the second, Heritage Christian did not have an answer for Tindley’s offensive firepower. Midway through the period, the Eagles found their offensive rhythm. A Jonathan Dorsch three-pointer was quickly followed by a three from Colvin. Moments later, Colvin jumped a passing lane for a big-time dunk. The sophomore guard scored 16 in the opening half, including two highlight-reel transition dunks.

With the late second-quarter spurt, Tindley’s lead was ten points at the break.

The third period was another high-scoring frame. Davis and Humphrey continued to be unstoppable for Tindley. On the other end, Colvin kept Heritage Christian within striking distance. He scored 12 points in the quarter to keep the Eagles within eleven.

Colvin stayed hot to begin the fourth. He scored the first five points to pull Heritage Christian within six points. Billy Brown found Pinkston for an alley-oop dunk before Colvin scored again. Over the next three minutes, Tindley forced five Heritage Christian turnovers. During that time, Humphrey and Pinkston helped Tindley extend its lead to 10 points.

For the final three minutes, Tindley’s lead stayed in the seven to 13 point range as the Tigers lived at the free-throw line.

Tindley won going away, 83-70. Heritage Christian did not lead at any point in the game despite it being competitive throughout the second half.

Humphrey led Tindley with 28 points and 16 rebounds; Davis added 18 points and eight rebounds, while Pinkston recorded 16 points and eight rebounds; Brown rounded out the double-figure scorers with 13 points and five assists.

Colvin led all scorers with 38 points on five of nine three-point shooting and 14 of 23 overall. He also had seven rebounds and three steals. John Henry McLimore scored 10 points in the loss.
