(RaSheed Jones propelled Elevation to a win)
Indiana Basketball Source's Jeff Schoenle spent Saturday crisscrossing
Fort Wayne for a makeshift tripleheader. Over the three games, there were a dozen D1 prospects and plenty of small college candidates. Elevation Prep vs. Blackhawk Christian, Lawrence North vs. Snider, and Winchester vs. Luers are recapped below.
Elevation Prep got 25 points from wing RaSheed Jones and 22 points from Reggie Ward, all of which came in the second half, to hold off Blackhawk Christian Saturday afternoon.
Marcus Davidson scored 11 of his 15 in the first quarter for Blackhawk Christian, who got as close as a single point in the second half but never was able to grab the lead. Zane Burke led the Braves with 28 points while
Caleb Furst scored 21 of his 23 points after halftime. The Braves were 12/19 from behind the arc as a team, as Burke hit four while Davidson and Jake Boyer each hit three.
It was simply too much athleticism from Elevation, who hit 13 three-pointers of their own, with four apiece from Jones, Ward, and guard Tariq Humes. Elevation Prep also outrebounded Blackhawk Christian by ten and forced the Braves into 14 turnovers, many of which led directly to points.
It was the second straight defeat for Blackhawk Christian, who last to Cathedral on Friday night.
