Roster Breakdown:
Devin Davis 6’6” SF 2013 (Indiana commit) Davis has become a really good athlete that can play inside and outside. He needs to keep improving his jumper and his ball-handling but he is on a good track. I wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to become a high-major small forward, but he has erased most of that doubt. He always plays with energy and toughness which is always a good sign for future development.
Brent Calhoun 6’8” PF 2012 (Detroit signee) Calhoun is a big lefty that has a nice touch around the basket. Athleticism is not his strong point, so he will have to learn how to counteract big-time athletes at Detroit. He has a chance to be really good there though if he works on his conditioning.
Jordan Garnett 6’4” PF 2014 Garnett has always been a high-motor guy that gets his points off of rebounds. Lately, he has shown a little bit more of a perimeter game. He will need to be a small forward at the next level, so it is good to see that part of his game is improving. Garnett has had a bit of an attitude problem, but it rarely shows on the court where he is always working.
Sam Thompson 6’1” PG 2013 Thompson has played well against tough competition so far this season (Cathedral and Fishers). He has nice size and built at the point guard position while also being quick. Outside shooting is a weakness, but he is solid in all other areas. He is in the low-major plus category now.
Jamal Bridges 6’2” SG 2013 Bridges isn’t flashy, but in the two games I’ve seen so far this season of Warren, he has produced. He is strong and a very good athlete. Bridges can likely play at a lot of D2/NAIA schools.
Charlie Dant 6’1” SG 2012 Big-time shooter that can do a little bit of everything else as well. I’ve heard that he is a good baseball prospect, but I haven’t confirmed that with him.
Antonio Offitt 6’1” SG 2012 Strong, combo guard that is a good athlete. Good mid-range shooter, but he gets most of his points in the lane.
Devon Hawkins 5’5” PG 2014 Hawkins is quick and skilled, but at 5’5” his production is limited. If he grows, he will be a player to watch.{/iACL}
