Jeremy Hollowell will join former IUPUI head coach Ron Hunter at Georgia State. Coach Hunter's son - R.J. - will be a junior this season while Hollowell sits out due to his transfer. R.J. Hunter has created some NBA buzz with his play, so he might not be around by the time Hollowell becomes eligible. Hunter averaged 18 points per game while shooting 39.5% from beyond the arc this season. Hollowell will have two years left after sitting out the 2014-2015 season. If focused, Hollowell would be a huge pickup for Georgia State. GSU was 25-9 this season including 17-1 in the Sun Belt.
Nick Osborne was an Indiana All-Star in a loaded 2012 class for the state. Osborne played in 28 games this season for Loyola while starting 17 of them. He averaged 5.4 points and 4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Loyola struggled with just a 10-22 record this season. Osborne was our 10th ranked player for college potential in the 2012 Indiana class (actually one spot ahead of R.J. Hunter). He definitely has the talent to be a big impact guy at IUPUI. He shot 50% from the field and 81% from the free throw line this season.
Both landing spots were good places for Hollowell and Osborne to excell. The year off will be critical to the rest of their career. If they are focused on improving, they will have huge years when they are eligible in 2015-2016. {/iACL}
