Tyler Jenkins is a 6-1 combo guard that was recently offered a scholarship by Florida Atlantic. Jenkins discussed that offer, his other options and a time line for a college decision.

Jenkins scored 10 points a game and dished out 5 assists per game this season for Hamilton Southeastern. He shot 40% from 3-point range. He is more of a shooting guard than point guard, but he can handle the ball. Jenkins has the athleticism to play either guard spot.

Along with Florida Atlantic, Jenkins is hearing from Cornell, Penn and Lehigh. “Cornell right now is probably the biggest one. They have been there since the beginning. So I have a lot of high respect for them,” said Jenkins.

Academics will play a huge part of the decision for Jenkins. He is looking to get a degree in either computer or electrical engineering. “Ultimately it will end up being a really high academic school because that is what I'm looking for,” Jenkins said.

It seems like the Ivy League would be a good fit for Jenkins academically and athletically. He would be a solid athlete for that level. It would also meet what his wants academically. {/iACL}
