404 Indiana high school basketball teams started the state tournament a little more than three weeks ago. There are only 16 teams that still have the dream of capturing a state title this season. Here is a look at the Semi-State match-ups.

Carmel vs. Merrillville

Location: Lafayette Jefferson

Time: Approximately 6:45 eastern

Key Players for Carmel: Michael Volovic, James Crowley, Zach McRoberts, Ryan Cline

Key Players for Merrillville: B.J. Jenkins, Zoran Talley, Jelani Pruitt, Jake Raspopovich

Notes: Volovic is heading to Butler University to walk-on, Crowley will play for Marian University. McRoberts has some D1 interest but no scholarship offers. Merrillville’s Raspopovich is signed with Texas Pan-Am for basketball. Jenkins is shooting 41% (63-155) from 3 this season while scoring  16 points per game.

Cathedral vs. Jeffersonville

Location: Seymour

Time: Approximately 6:15 eastern

Key Players for Cathedral: Jalen Coleman, Collin Hartman, Collin Barthel

Key Players for Jeffersonville: Darryl Baker, Drew Ellis, Myles Harvey, Jacquari Chandler

Notes: Cathedral suspended Mo Evans and Justin Baker near the end of the regular season and have not missed a beat. Coleman and Hartman have both taken their game to another level during this stretch. Jeffersonville’s Baker started the season with a 38-point performance against Evansville Bosse and has continued his excellent play throughout the season. Drew Ellis had a crazy 19 point second quarter versus Evansville Harrison in the regional.

Andrean vs. Fort Wayne Concordia

Location: Huntington North

Time: Approximately 3:15 eastern

Key Players for Andrean: Nick Davidson, Skyler Moss, Collin Wojcik

Key Players for Concordia: D.J. McCall, Thomas Starks, Brian Gremaux, Marq Rogers

Notes: Concordia is one of the most balanced teams in the state. McCall leads the way with 17 points per game. Andrean’s Davidson is headed to Valparaiso University.

Greensburg vs. Mount Vernon (Fortville)

Location: Richmond

Time: 3:15 eastern

Key Players for Greensburg: Bryant McIntosh, Sean Sellers, Ryan Welage

Key Players for Mount Vernon: CJ Coleman, Stephen Turner, Dan Werner

Notes: McIntosh is verbally committed to Indiana State. Sellers has an offer from IUPUI. MV’s Coleman averaged 19 points per game.

Bowman Academy vs. Tipton

Location: Huntington North

Time: 1:00 eastern

Key Players for Bowman: Davon Dillard, Justin King, Arthur Haggard

Tipton: Mike Crawford, Mason Degenkolb, Blake Hoover

Notes: Bowman’s Dillard has attracted attention from most of the Big Ten. Mike Crawford is the all-time leading scorer in Tipton history. He is signed with St. Louis University.

Linton-Stockton vs. Speedway

Location: Richmond

Time: 1:00 eastern

Key Players for Linton-Stockton: Austin Karazsia

Key Players for Speedway: Justin Brent, Anthony Jones, Jordan Furlow

Notes: Karazsia is a 6-8 forward that averages about 20 points per game. Justin Brent is verbally committed to Notre Dame for football. Jones is averaging 19 points a game.

Lafayette Central Catholic vs. Triton

Location: Lafayette Jefferson

Time: 4:00 eastern

Key Players for LCC: Andrew Hubertz, Jake Churchill, Tim Mills

Key Players for Triton: Clay Yeo, Tanner Shepherd

Notes: Hubertz, Churchill and Mills average double digits for LCC. Yeo is headed to Valparaiso University next year. He sits with 1,950 career points.
