Saturday evening, Warren Central junior wing Tae Davis committed to the University of Louisville. The commitment comes as no surprise as Tae's brother, Dre, is producing for the Cardinals as a freshman.

Davis is a high-potential forward that held offers from Indiana, Purdue, Butler, Xavier, and Nebraska before committing to Louisville. Chris Mack and his staff has been recruiting Davis hard for the last 18 months. He went on multiple visits to Louisville last fall before Dre committed there. The Cardinals were early and consistent with Davis on the recruiting trail. Combine that with Dre doing well at UL and all the signs pointed to Tae being a Cardinal.

On Saturday, Davis and Warren Central played in the Sneakers for Santa Shootout. The Warriors lost a hectic game, 66-58. Davis made his biggest impact as a rebounder and defender. That was the case against stellar competition in the Metro Indy Fall Basketball League as well. His stat line today was nine points, six rebounds, two blocks, and a steal.

At a barefoot six-foot-five, Davis has the potential to impact the game in all phases. He's a big, athletic wing with the frame to add muscle with ease. His shot has been inconsistent, but when it is locked in, Davis can fill it up from the outside. The skill foundation is there for Davis to improve exponentially in the years to come. If he figures out how to click all the pieces together, Tae Davis will be a major problem at Louisville.
